Phase 4: Take Action

It’s time to take action! Taking action does not look one way and does not happen right away, which is why it’s even more important to think about what taking action means and how it can occur over time. Phase 4: Take Action supports students and teachers to reflect on how what was learned can create change within schools and communities. Phase 4 begins the conversation by actively brainstorming recommendations based on the research findings, finding ways to call upon advocates to support the project, and figuring out the various forms (presentations, media posts, journals, etc.) to share the research with others. Questions to consider during phase 4 include: What are the main recommendations based on the evidence gathered? What types of products will make these recommendations accessible? Who should know about these findings and recommendations? Lastly, phase 4 is about celebrating the collaborators and projects!
